Shoelaceless
Its been an interesting few days. Some really great things have happened. While I woke up yesterday and developed a rather nasty migraine, my dog actually let me know it was coming and I was able to prepare for it ahead of time. I took it easy and got plenty of rest staying in the dark. I had a couple rather wonderful people to keep me distracted and after a nice nap I woke up feeling much better. I got to watch the Breeders Cup on TV without feeling like my head was going to explode. Then I got to meet up last night with some old friends, ladies I hadn’t seen in the last seven years. We had a really fun time catching up.
Today started with a good service in church. Some really great music today. Came home to a lot of chaos. Joey had found on his way out the door that his shoelaces were missing from his sneakers. We still have no clue what happened to them. He has been walking around shoelaceless all day. He and I had a funny time walking the dogs while Taylor made us lunch. We laughed and laughed about his shoelaces the whole way. When we finally got home we sat down to a great Bears game and watched them win while we enjoyed Taylor’s wonderful meal. Then we headed out and spent the evening with family for my twin cousins’ birthday.
It has been a really good weekend for me and I have been in good spirits for the past several days. It has been really encouraging and a great reminder that a positive attitude can make a world of difference.
