A Fun Filled Day
I had a really great day. I was rather lazy about getting out of bed, but once I did the day was filled with activity. Mal came and we went to go get Joey’s birthday cake from Coldstone. It turned out great. We brought it back and had a major strike out on finding an open place for sushi. We ended up at Panera instead. We took our time and had a lot of fun. Then we came back to the house and I decorated the cake for Joey with Harry Potter stuff of course. The cake was absolutely delicious. Then we went back out and got sushi from one of my favorite places near the house. We followed that up with a trip to Caribou. By this time we were pretty much over stuffed from non-stop eating. We took Mr. Renegade for a walk and settled in for Potter night. Amy called at the end of the movie and she and I went on a quick shopping trip late tonight as well. It was short but a lot of fun to see Amy. While I waited for Amy to show up I got the chance to talk to some friends while they picked up my brother. I suppose I have to share the birthday boy sometimes. So all in all it was a pretty good day.
I have had a hard time the last two weeks feeling frustrated and irritated by some of the parts of my life that are out of my control. Things I had gotten use to and brought me a lot of comfort that are now gone. It is still hard, but I have found new comfort. A new source to sooth me and make me smile on a daily basis. Thank you for being there for me. Our talks mean a lot to me and I am glad to have you there every morning and night. There is nothing like waking up and falling asleep in a good mood and you help me to remember there are still good things out there.
